To use BoxLock, your delivery driver simply grabs the BoxLock, and presses the button on top to scan the tracking number on your package. Only packages addressed to you, and that are actually out for delivery that day will unlock the BoxLock. The driver opens the bin, places your package safely inside, closes the bin and locks the lock.

The lock casing is a tamper-resistant zinc and the shackle is made of a hardened steel like you would find in most common padlocks. The whole lock is encased in a fiber reinforced plastic, the same material that most tools are made of. With BoxLock we are also using a proprietary locking mechanism that is designed so that it is not as susceptible to the techniques used to open other padlocks.
